Prologue: Wanted - One sword, one sheild
Difficulty: Very Easy
Items you'll get: Kokiri Sword, Kokiri Sheild
After the cinema scene if Link’s dream and the Deku Tree talking to Navi you will be inside your house. Exit here through the door to the left of the screen. You should now be in the Kokiri Forest, you will see a girl come running up to you. Climb down the ladder in front of you and go talk to Saria (the girl in green). She will say about how you got a fairy and how it makes you a true Kokiri. Then she starts to say how you should go and see the Great Deku Tree straight away. Head up until you come to a fence. Now turn right and follow the path until it comes to a sign saying ‘Just Ahead Great Deku Tree’s Meadow’. Now jump across the platforms in the water to get to Mido. (Don’t worry if you fall in the water cause Link can swim!) Once you’re across the platforms you’ll see a passage but you can’t get though because Mido is blocking your way. Talk to him and he’ll say how it’s not fair that you were summoned to the Deku Tree. Then he’ll say that you need a Sword and Shield before you can see the Great Deku Tree.

Go back down the path that you came from, this time just go straight ahead. Once you get to the end of the path (there should be a Kokiri there) turn left and go up the hill, And go to the fences are up ahead. Follow the fences around until you get to where there is a Kokiri and some signs and rocks around the place. If you talk to the Kokiri, he’ll teach you how to do a heap of useful moves like Jumping Sideways and doing backflips and stuff. If you are a first time player I recommend spending a little while here just so you get to know how to use Z-Targeting and stuff like that. Once you’ve had enough of this, read the big sign and learn how to crawl through small holes. Then go to the hole in the wall which is to the left of the sign and when the Blue Icon at the top of the screen says ‘Enter’ push ‘A’ to crawl through it. Once you get through go to the left, be careful though because there is a big boulder rolling around the passageway. Turn right into the grass and once you reach the wall, turn left at the end of this passage you will see a chest sitting on a stump. Turn left and push the ‘A Button’ to open it. Inside is none other than the Hidden Treasure of the Kokiri, the Kokiri Sword!

Now turn around so you are facing the passages where the Boulder is rolling around. Go straight ahead and then turn left once you reach the wall. Go straight ahead and get the Blue Rupee. Now is a good time to equip your Sword. Push ‘Start’ then Push ‘Z’ to get to the Equipment Subscreen. Once you have your sword equipped, you can go back through the little tunnel. Now go back down the hill. For extra rupees, cut the grass on the way back (you’ll need them to get your shield) At the bottom of the hill, look to you right to see a building with a red roof. This is the Kokiri Shop remember where it is for later. To buy a Deku Shield you’ll need 40 Rupees so go around the village until you find enough (cut grass, throw rock and walk through the patches of long grass to find them). Once you have 40 rupees go inside the Shop and buy a Deku Shield. Equip the Shield in the same way you equipped your sword. You’re now ready to go see the Great Deku Tree! From outside the Shop, turn Left and go through the water to get back to Mido. Talk to him again and he’ll move out of your way follow the passageway around, a little way after the first corner 3 Deku Babas pop up out of the ground. Don’t worry these are easy to kill! A couple of slashes with your sword and they’re dead. Pick up the Deku Sticks they leave behind (you’ll need these later). Keep going straight ahead until you get to the Great Deku Tree. The Deku Tree will start telling you about the Evil Forces that are growing. The Deku Tree will open his mouth and then tell you to enter inside him. Go inside to enter the first Dungeon!

Part I: "Get in mah Beleh"
Difficulty: Easy
Items you'll get: Deku seed, Deku nut, Deku Stick, Fairy Slingshot
Turn right and go up the ladder. Be careful of the Deku Baba! These ones lunge out at you. Follow the ledge around to the right and jump over the branch to the other side. Keep going straight ahead. You’ll come to a wall of vines and Navi will tell you that you can climb on them. DON’T! The wall is covered with Skulltulas, which you can’t kill just yet (you need the Fairy Slingshot). Open the Chest up to get the Dungeon Map. keep following the ledge around. Jump across the gap and then go through the door. Once you enter the next room, bars will come down blocking the exit. Z-Target the Deku Scrub in the middle of the room and use you Deku Shield to bounce the Deku Nuts he shoots at you back at him. He will jump out of the ground and start hopping around the room, chase him until he stops and talks to you. He’ll jump off and then the two doors will open up go through the door that you didn’t come out of (the door to go through has wooden pillars either side of it). In the next room, jump onto the platform and quickly jump off it again onto the other side. (If you don’t do it in time, the platform will drop and then you’ll have to climb up the vines on the walls. Open the chest to get the Fairy Slingshot.

Still facing the chest, turn to your left and climb up the vines on the wall. Open the chest for a Recovery Heart. Fall back down to where the big Chest is and turn to face the Door you came through. Navi should fly over to the other side of the room and turn green. Z-Target onto her, take out your Fairy Slingshot and take a shot at her. This will make a ladder fall down. Climb the ladder and go back through the door. In the next room, go through the door on the other side of the room, which should take you back to the Main Chamber. Now turn right, jump across the gap, and go back down to where you got the Dungeon Map. Z-Target the Skulltulas and shoot them all down with the Fairy Slingshot (there are three of them) once you’ve done this, climb up the vines and go to the right once you have reached the roof. Drop down onto the ledge below and go to the right, follow the ledge until you come to a doorway, then go through the door. You should now be inside a room with a Burning Torch and a Switch. Step on the switch to raise the three platforms. Before time runs out, jump across them to the opposite side of the room to the ledge which has a Chest on it, open it to get the Compass.

Fall down from the ledge and go to the left where there is a passageway, which is above the ground. Kill the Skulltula. Now turn to the left and climb up the vines. Step on the switch once more but this time go to the left side of the room. You should now be in a passageway with a small chest and a Golden Skulltula. Open the chest for a Recovery Heart and then slash the Skulltula with your sword to kill it. It will leave behind a Golden Skulltula Token, collect it (Once you get enough of these you will be able to get certain items). Climb back up to the platform with the switch on it and equip your Deku Sticks. Take one out and go over to the burning torch, light you Deku Stick on fire with it then run back to the other side of this platform and light the unlit torch up by passing your flaming stick through it. This will open the door in front of you. Exit through this door to go back to the Main Chamber. Now go to where the gaps are in the spider’s web and kill one of the Skulltulas (it doesn’t matter which one). Now jump off the ledge and try to land in the middle of the Spider Web below you on the Ground Floor. This may take a few tries! But don’t loose hope!

Once you break it, you will fall through to the floor below into a pool of water. Climb up onto the platform to your right and step on the switch to light the torch. Don’t worry about the Skulltula cause you can’t get it until later on in the game. Open the chest behind the Torch for another Recovery Heart, then take out a Deku Stick and light it on fire. Now run across to the left-hand side of the room to the Spider Web and burn them by touching them with your burning Deku Stick. This will take a few tries, as you have to get across the other side without going into the deep water. (There is a platform underneath the water). Once you’ve done this, go through the door. You should now be inside a room with another Deku Scrub. Do the same thing as before to defeat it. Chase him and he’ll talk to you what he says is VERY IMPORTANT so read it. He will tell you that to defeat his brothers you must punish them in the proper order which is: 2 3 1 You’ll need to remember this for later. Now to get through the door with the bars on it, take out your Fairy Slingshot and then shoot the grey eye switch above it. The eye will shut and then the door will open, go through the door.

The next chamber has a platform and a bar of spikes across it and a big pool of water below the platform. Do what Navi says and dive down into the water. On the left hand side of the screen if you dive down beneath where the bar is you will hit a switch which drains the water from the room. Quickly swim back to the platform which you entered the room on (it has a ramp to walk up just near where you are). Now jump onto the platform when it comes back to you and wait until it gets to the opposite side of the room before you jump off it. Kill the Skulltula and then pull the Block across to the other side of the hole it’s in. Now climb on top of it and go through the door above it. You should now be inside a room with a torch and two unlit ones. Take out a Deku Stick and light the two unlit ones to open the Door. Go through the door into the next Chamber. Kill the Skulltula and then light up a Deku Stick and burn the two lots of Spider Webs. Once you have done this, crawl through the small hole. You will now be back in the room, which you first fell down into. To your right you will se a block. Push this until it falls into the water below. Jump down onto the block then across to the platform with the torch on it. Light up a Deku Stick and then jump back across onto the block and then onto other platform. Quickly go over to the where the Spider Web is covering the ground and push the C-Button which you’ve assigned your Deku Stick to use it like a weapon and to hit the Spider Web to burn it. Fall down the hole into the water below. Swim across to the platform. Remember the Deku Scrub’s Hint about his three brothers? Well now's when you need it. Bounce the Deku Scrubs Nuts back at them in the right order (2 3 1), if you use Z-Targeting to target the right Scrub it makes it A LOT easier. Once you’ve ‘punished’ the Deku Scrubs chase the last one around and he’ll tell you the secret of how to kill Queen Gohma. Then the door will open. Before you go through the door, I recommend that you have a full supply of Hearts. Once you’re ready, enter the final chamber and prepare to battle Queen Gohma! Once in the chamber, the door will shut behind you. To begin your battle, look towards the roof using C-Up and look at Queen Gohma’s eye.

*************** QUEEN GOMAH ***************

The boss of the Deku Tree isn’t too hard to beat. Equip your Fairy Slingshot and your Deku Sticks. When Queen Gohma drops down, Z-Target her and when her eye is red, shoot her with your Fairy Slingshot. She will drop down and be stunned for a little while. Now is when to attack her. Take out your Deku Sticks and keep hitting her with them. After five or so hits, she will start climbing up the walls and onto the roof. She now lays three eggs, which hatch and turn into Gohma Larvae my tip for these is to slash them with your sword before they have a chance to hatch! Keep repeating this until Gohma is dead. If you use Deku Sticks to kill her, it only takes six hits compared to about 12 if you use your Kokiri Sword. Once you’ve killed her, collect the Heart Piece and then enter the Warp (the blue glowing circle of light).

Part II: Goto Princess Zelda? But shes not even misssing yet!
Difficulty: Easy
Songs you'll learn: Zelda's Lullaby
You will now be transported back outside to the Deku Tree’s Meadow. Where you will see a cinema scene about Ganondorf and the creation of Hyrule and the Triforce. After this, the Deku Tree will tell you to go to Hyrule Castle to see Princess Zelda, then he will give you the Kokiri Emerald (Spiritual Stone of the Forest), and then he will die. Once you have the Kokiri Emerald, go back through th epassageway back to the Kokiri Forest. Jump across the platforms in the water again and then follow the path straight ahead. Once you’ve reached the end of the path (where it starts to go up the hill to the Kokiri Training Area) keep going straight ahead to where the big hollow log is sticking out of the cliff face. Exit through here. A scene will start between Link and Saria which ends in Saria giving Link her Ocarina. Link will now exit through the other hollow log to end up in Hyrule Field.

Follow the passageway around until Kaepora Gaebora (the owl) begins talking to you. He’ll tel you to go to Hyrule Castle. To get here, just follow the pathway once you get to the end of it, you should be able to see where Hyrule Castle is, you can only enter inside during the daytime so if it’s night by the time you get there don’t worry you’ll just have to wait until daybreak. Once you get to Hyrule Castle, enter it. This should bring you to a screen with a fixed camera (you can’t use c-Up to look around) go straight ahead. The next screen is full of people, don’t worry about them yet. Just keep going straight ahead, and exit the market place. You should now see a cut scene showing you Hyrule Castle.

Follow the pathway around and Kaepora Gaebora should talk to you again telling you about Princess Zelda. If you look at the cliff face, you should see a vine growing on it, position yourself near the middle piece of vine and then climb up it. Follow the ledge around until you come to the Castle Gates, fall down so that you are INSIDE them. Now, walk up to one of the guards so they will throw you out. Go back to where the vines are an da girl will be standing there (Malon), talk to her twice and she’ll an egg. Now climb back up the vines and go back inside the castle gates. Now this time, the idea is NOT to be seen by the guards. To your left you should se a small cliff, one side of which has a slope on it, walk slowly up the slant (about halfway between the line and the bottom of the cliff) until you reach the top of it. Then walk up towards the yellow flowers. From here you should be able to see a small pathway, follow this until it ends. To your left should be to bushes of yellow flowers. Go to your left and you should see some rocks set into the cliff face. Climb up these. Walk over to where the Gossip Stone is (the one eyed stones that tell you the time when you hit them) and tehn from there, jump off the cliff. Once you’ve done this, jump into the moat and swim around to your right. Once you come to the corner, walk up the small slope that’s sticking out of the water and then climb up onto dry ground again. If you go to your left, you should come to a man who is snoring and some boxes. Remember the egg that Malon gave to you? Well once daybreak comes, it will hatch into a Chicken, equip the chicken and go up to where the sleeping man is. Push the C Button you’ve assigned the Chicken to use it. It should wake the man up. Talk to him and he’ll tell you his name is Talon and how he went to the Castle to deliver milk and that he fell asleep. He’ll run off back to Malon leaving a gap for you to push the boxes down into. Once you’ve done this, climb up onto them and then jump across to where the water is flowing out fo the wall. Now crawl through the hole.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll enter the Castle Courtyard. Go to the right of the screen. You’ll come to a screen where there is a guard walking around a hedge. The idea here is to get past him without him seeing you. If you do get seen you’ll be taken back to where you first met Talon. Exit to the right of this screen and you wil enter a screen with two fountains and two guards. Once again, makes your way past these two without being seen, Exit to the right of screen again and you’ll come to yet another screen with one guard in it who walks around a path with some rupees on it (if you’d like a challenge try and get them but otherwise forget about them). This time what you have to do is climb up the steps and then climb up onto the wooden plank at the top. Slowly make your way across it (if you step off it you’ll fall down and be seen by the guard). Exit to the right of screen. In the next screen, there are two guards walking around some kind of statue. Make your way past them both and exit to the right of screen. The next screen is a long one with two guards walking around a large hedge. (It’s also the last one!) Make your way past both guards and exit at the top of the screen. Now exit to the right of the screen to find Princess Zelda. Walk up to her (she’s at the far window) and talk to her. Before you do this, if you want to have some fun, shoot the windows in the courtyard with your Fairy Slingshot, one will give you a red Rupee the other will end up with a bomb being thrown at you so watch out. Zelda will ask you if you have the Kokiri Emerald, answer ‘Yes’ and she will tell you about a dream she had. She will then tell you about the Sacred Realm. She will then ask you to look through the window at someone answer ‘yes’ Zelda will tell you that the man is Ganondorf and how she thinks he is evil. The conversation ends with Zelda giving you a letter. This is used later. Now go back to where you entered the courtyard and talk to Impa. She will teach you Zelda’s Lullaby and then she’ll take you to the Castle Drawbridge in Hyrule Field. Impa tells you to go to Death Mountain.

Part III: Death Mountain? I better go talk to my friends about this!
Difficulty: Easy
Songs you'll learn: Saria's Song
Items you'll get: Hylian Sheild, Deku seed bag upgrade, Goron Bracelet
About now, Navi will start telling you to go and see Saria. Take Navi’s advice and from Hyrule Castle, follow the pathway once it forks, go to the left and keep going straight until you come back to the entrance to the Kokiri Forest, enter here. Once you are back in the Kokiri Forest, if you use C-Up to look to the left of your screen you should see a cliff face, which is covered in vines. Climb up this. Once you have climbed the vines, go straight ahead until you come to the top of the little hill. Turn left and then enter the hollow log to go to the Lost Woods. Now you should be in a room with four different exits. There is one right one; the rest will just take you straight out to the entrance you’ve just come through. To find out which one is right, just listen to the music. When you hear a song playing (and not just bells) this is the right exit.

Once you’ve gone through the first exit, you’ll see a tree with a piece of wood hanging from it, take out your Fairy Slingshot and take a shot at it. A number will come up if you hit it. If you hit it close to the middle, you will get a score of 100. Score 100 3 times in a row and a Deku Scrub will give you a Deku Seeds Bullet Bag upgrade. In the third room, Kaepora Gaebora will speak to you telling you to listen for the tune. Also in this room, you will see a doorway, which is framed by pillars, this is a warp, which takes you to Goron City (more on this later) In the fourth room you will see a pond, at the bottom of this is a warp to Zora’s Domain (you can’t get to this just yet!) Eventually, you will come out into the Sacred Forest Meadow.

To get through the bars, you have to defeat the Wolfos that pops up. Just Z-Target it and wait until it take a swipe at you then hit it with your sword. Enter the maze and take the Right Passageway, then go up (be careful of the Mad Scrub!), then go left and then go up, then go right and up through the long grass. Go left and up through the water take a right and finally a left between the two pillars. Follow the stairs up until you come to where Saria is sitting on a stump. Talk to Saria and she will teach you Saria’s Song. Go back down the stairs and instead of going around the maze again, climb the ladder in front of you and jump across the gaps until you are back where you first entered the Sacred Forest Meadow. Exit through here and then take a WRONG exit to warp out of the Lost Woods back to the Kokiri Forest.

Exit the Kokiri Forest and go back to Hyrule Castle. Facing away from Hyrule Castle, go left and cross the small bridge, then go up the set of stairs. You should now be in Kakariko Village. Once here you have two options, you can either go straight to Death Mountain or you can go and collect all of the Cuccos in the village and return them to their owner to get a bottle. I recommend that you do this. To get to the owner, just go straight ahead and up the stairs to the well. Then go right until you see a girl standing next to a fenced off area. Talk to her and she’ll tell you her Cuccos have flown away. For Information on where the seven Cuccos are see the mini-games section below. Once you have the first Bottle, go down the steps in front of the well and once you get past the house, go up the steps to the right of the screen. Now go up the stairs that are just near you. Continue up the next set of stairs that you see and then talk to the guard at the gate. He’ll tell you that the road is closed. Show him the letter from Princess Zelda and he’ll open the gate for you.

He’ll also tell you to buy a shield from Hyrule Castle Town and he’ll ask you to go to the Mask Shop and get a mask for his child. Buying a Hylian Shield will waste about 80 rupees so instead, just go outside of Kakariko Village until it is nighttime. Then re-enter the Village and go to the Graveyard (near the Cucco Lady). Now once in the Graveyard, follow the path until you come to the first row of tombstones. Go to the second on along (it has grass growing in front of it) and pull it backwards, this will reveal a hole. Fall down it and open the small chest inside to receive the Hylian Shield.

Don’t worry about the mask just yet, you can go through the Mask Selling Sequence later. Now go back to where the entrance to the Death Mountain Trail is and make your way up Death Mountain. About half way up the trail, you’ll see your first Goron sitting near a HUGE Boulder which is blocking the Entrance to Dodongo’s Cavern, to get rid of the boulder you’ll need to first go and see Darunia at Goron City. To get to Goron City, just follow the trail and once you get to the place where the pole is sticking out of the ground with a red scarf tied to it, just go in the direction the sign is pointing. (Just be careful of the rocks that roll down this pathway) You’ll eventually come to a platform with a circle of rocks on it. Behind here is a doorway with a banner of some sort hanging above it, this is the entrance to Goron City.

Enter and fall down to the very bottom floor. Once you’re here, have a quick look around and you should see a really big urn and near that, a sealed door with a funky looking doormat outside it which Navi turns green over. Stand on it and take out your Fairy Ocarina. A musical stave will come up on the screen, play Zelda’s Lullaby (C-Left, C-Up, C-Right, C-Left, C-Up, C-Right). The door will now open, go inside and you’ll see Darunia, Leader of the Gorons. Talk to him and he’ll tell you how he’s in a bad mood. Take out your Fairy Ocarina once more but this time play Saria’s Song (C-Down, C-Right, C-Left, C-Down, C-Right, C-Left). Darunia will now go mental and do this funky looking dance and once he finishes, he’ll give you the Goron’s Bracelet, which now lets you pick the Bomb Flowers.

Now, make your way up the staircase and exit out of Goron City back to the Death Mountain Trail. Instead of going back down the Mountain, go to the right just after you pass the platform with the circle of rocks on it and you should see a Goron. Talk to him and he’ll tell you that he’s shading a Bomb Flower. In the little area next to him is a Bomb Flower, pick it using ‘A’ and then throw it over the edge of the cliff. This will blow up the Boulder blocking the entrance to Dodongo’s Cavern. Now go back down Death Mountain and enter Dodongo’s Cavern.

Part IV: Bombs, glorius bombs!
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Items: Bomb bag
When you first enter, it seems as though you’ve hit a dead end, don’t worry though. If you look to your left or your right, you’ll see a Bomb Flower. Pick one of them and put it down in front of the brown rock wall that is blocking your way. Once it blows up, a small scene will start where you get to see the first chamber inside Dodongo’s Cavern. Before you go any further, equip you Hylian Shield (if you are hit by fire and you have the Deku Shield equipped, your Deku Shield will burn). Now enter the Chamber and go straight ahead. Jump on top of the moving platform and then onto the platform in the middle (be careful of the Beamos!). Jump across to the platform on your right. Now pick the Bomb Flower and throw it at the Beamos ahead of you to blow it up. Wait until the Bomb Flower re-grows then pick it and this time place it next to the rock wall which is just near where the Beamos used to be. (If you want you can blow up the rock wall that is behind you as well but there is only a Gossip Stone behind it). Go straight ahead through the passage to the next chamber (be careful Baby Dodongos start popping up from the ground in here).

Go straight ahead until you come to a platform with a Blue Switch next to it, if you stand on the switch, the door above you will open, but if you step of it, it shuts again. To stop this from happening, just pull one of the statues over onto the switch. Climb onto the platform and go straight ahead into the next chamber. Kill the two Keeses in the room and then go straight ahead through to the next one (I recommend that you have full health before going any further as you’re about to battle two Lizalfos) Once you enter the room, the door will shut behind you and then one of the two Lizalfos will start to attack you to kill him, Z-Target him and just slash him with your sword, being careful that he doesn’t do the same back to you! After a few hits he will retreat and the second Lizalfos will attack do the same thing as before and like the other one, after a few hits he'll run off scared and the first one will come back. Just keep attacking them until they’re both dead. Then the door to the left of where you first entered the room will open. Go through here to enter the next chamber.

In here there are four Dodongos, before doing anything else, kill these by Z-Targeting them and slashing their tail with your sword. Now go back to near where you first entered the chamber and you should see a Torch, light up a Deku Stick and run around and light the 3 unlit torches with it (these are all near the door with the bars on it) Once you’ve done this the door will open, go through to end up back in the main chamber. Go straight ahead and step on the switch to open the door on the opposite side of the chamber.

Now drop down and go back across the middle platform, this time going to the left-hand side of the room. Once you’re across, pick the Bomb Flower and use it to blow up the rock wall beside you. In here is a chest that gives you the Dungeon Map. Exit through the door that you opened before by stepping on the switch. You should now be in a room with a HUGE set of stairs that is too high up for you to get on and a whole lot of Bomb Flowers that are growing around it. Go around to the left and blow up the rock wall using a Bomb Flower. Go through the door to enter a room with three Statues and a big chest. If you touch the middle statue it will come alive and start trying to attack you. To kill it, Z-Target it and throw a Deku Nut at it to freeze it. Now go behind it and slash it with your sword. It will now start flashing red and chasing after you RUN! It will explode in a few seconds. Open the Chest to receive the Compass. Exit back into the Chamber with the staircase. Look straight ahead and you should see a gap in the Bomb Flowers, pick one of the Bomb Flowers that grow BESIDE THE DOORWAY and place it down here. The idea here is to blow up all of the Bomb Flowers in one go (it looks pretty cool!).

A cut scene should start where the staircase falls down. Climb up to the top of staircase and then follow the wooden ramps around to either the right or the left (they both end in the same place) and go through the door. In this chamber there are two Fire Keeses (kill them ASAP) and four Statues around a pillar. Push the one in front of the ladder out of the way, climb up and step on the switch to open the door to the next room. Exit through here to end up back in the main chamber again. Go straight ahead and over the bridge and into the next chamber. Climb down the ladder (be careful there are Switch Blades all over the place in here!). Go straight ahead until you come to a ladder and a blue block. Pull the block out twice and go behind it for a Recovery Heart and then climb up onto it and then onto the platform with a chest and a Bomb Flower on it. Open the chest for 20 Rupees. Now this next bit will require a lot of luck to do! Pick the Bomb Flower and wait until it’s nearly blown up then throw it at the rock wall in front of you to hopefully blow it up. Once you manage to blow up the wall, jump across to the ladder and exit out of the chamber to come to a room with a flaming platform. Take out your Fairy Slingshot and shoot the Yellow Eye switch above the doorway on the opposite side of the room to turn off the flames. Jump across to the other side of the room and exit it.

Prepare to fight some more Lizalfos! Once you’ve killed them both, exit through the door to the left of the chamber to come to a room with some more flaming platforms. Once again, use your Fairy Slingshot to shoot the Yellow Eye Switch and jump across onto the first platform. Now turn to your left and shot the second eye switch and jump across to the next platform and go through to the next chamber. Jump across to the other ledge and then go to your right to where the Big Chest is, open it to receive the Bomb Bag and some Bombs. Jump down off this ledge and now go through the doorway to you left to end up back inside the Main Chamber. Step on the switch to make one of the moving platforms below come right up to the second level. Now go around to you left across the bridge.

When you come to a gap in the bridge, drop a bomb down. Once it blows up the Dodongo’s Head below will light up with Red Eyes. Do this on both eyes to open its mouth. If you want five rupees, go straight ahead over the bridge to the other side and blow up the rock wall to reveal a small Chest, open it to get the rupees. Now drop back down to the first floor and enter the door inside the Dodongo’s Mouth. You should now be inside a room with four exits. Go to the right and climb up and exit this chamber. In the next room, follow the pathway around, then climb up onto the blocks, and then follow the ledge around. Before exiting this room, smash the jars to get a fairy. I recommend that you catch this in a bottle. Now follow the passageway around and then push the block down off the ledge. You should now be back inside the chamber that you first entered into. Kill the Fire Keeses and then push the block down into the hole in the middle of the room. This will activate the switch to open the barred door. Go through this door to enter an empty room. If you need bombs, open the small chest in the room and then use one to blow up the dark spot in the center of the room. Fall down this hole to begin your battle with King Dodongo.

*************** KING DODONGO ***************

eating this boss is easy. Equip your bombs and your Deku sticks (these kill him easier) Z-Target him and when he opens his mouth and starts to suck in air to use his Flame Attack, throw a bomb into his mouth. It will blow up and paralyse him for a short time. Now is your chance to hit him. Take out your Deku Stick s and slash him with them. Once you hit him, he’ll roll into a ball and try to squash you, just keep out of his way! Now just keep repeating the Bomb and Slash Technique until he’s dead. If you use Deku Sticks, it will take three hits otherwise it’ll take four or five to kill him. Collect your Heart Container and walk into the warp.
